Winter Haikus

Class 4 wrote some haikus which are Japanese poems based on syllables rather than rhymes.

  In the first line five
The second line has seven
And in the last five.

Snow is falling fast
Whizzing from the sparkly sky
Very cold and wet
Turn the fire on
Getting really cold outside
Santa’s coming soon.

Kelsey  Year 5

  Santa’s dressed in red
Down the chimney when I sleep
And eats my mince pies

Molly  Year 5
Snowflakes are falling,
Children playing having fun
Making snow angles

Ella  Year 5
I hope it will snow
So please can you grant my wish
And please do it soon

Tiegan  Year 6
Putting the tree up
Baubles swaying from the trees
The angle shinning

Reanna Year 6

  Last minute shopping
Shop selves are getting empty
So get a move on.

Simon  Year 6
Three snowmen singing
One out of tune, it was Bob!
Two snowmen winning

Mollie  Year 6

When I know that Christmas is near
I think I will explode!
