Bristol City FC skipper Louis Carey and former Bristol City player Scott Murray took time out of their holiday from football to support our Friends association in a sponsored shoot out with the children. They both used a variety of goal keeping techniques which kept pupils, staff and parents entertained for the whole afternoon – you probably never realised you don’t have to face the penalty taker to save the goal!! They spent time getting to know the children before signing autographs. Having grown up in Dundry Village, it was great to see Louis back to offer the school his support. For the children, this was a fantastic opportunity to meet their local heroes through a fun sporting event. So far, over 100 has been raised.

Swimming Gala 2010 - On Tuesday we went to Church Hill School for a swimming gala.  We did loads of strokes Miss Colby and Belinda took us by bus. We had a good time.

Half Term Modelling Competition

Art and Crafts Club
For our first project, we have been designing and making our own Pom Pom monsters. Some of us have even created houses and caves for them to live in!

Shakers
We used paper mache, to cover our shakers.
"It was very Sticky!!" Year 3 girl.
We then painted them to make them colourful.

This year's trip to Barton Hall was a great success. The children had a great time doing all sorts of outdoor activities.

Chris Sperring MBE came to school to talk with us about owls, he brought Otis the Long Eared Owl with him.

After Chris’ visit we all made bird boxes to put up around school.

Much fun was had by all at the Disco Divas Party for the children.

To help us get ready for out school play we invited some Shakespearian Actors in to help us.
