| The School House System |
| The new house system was introduced in September 2004. We
have four houses, named after ranges of hills (which we thought was
appropriate for Dundry!) Each house has an animal mascot, a colour a motto,
and a shield. Brecon: Red Squirrel Red ‘Rise to the challenge’ Malvern: Owl Blue ‘Aim for the stars’ Mendip: Badger Yellow ‘Work hard, play fair’ Quantock: Deer Green ‘Be the best you can be’ Click on the house name to see each house shield. These will open in a new window - please close the window to return to this page. Each child will belong to a house. Brothers and sisters will belong to the same house. The children will be given house points for good work, effort and behaviour. Unlike the house system in Harry Potter, our house points cannot be taken away. The children will post their house points into a box and each Friday the points will be counted. The winning house will be awarded the house cup and their reward will be to sit on the benches at the back of the hall for assemblies during the following week. From
time to time we will show, on this page, how the house cup has been awarded
each week. Return to House Activities Page
